HELPFUL INFORMATION

The SANYS statewide conference is open to all and is a great opportunity to come together as a self-advocacy community. You can attend all three days or Friday only. Throughout the conference you can expect to learn from others and share your voice through sessions and focus groups.  In the evenings you can enjoy entertainment or take the opportunity to network and build new relationships. Our Friday night dance party is always a big hit!

For 3-day registrants, pre-conference activities such as conference sign-in, mini-sessions and networking are from 1:00-6:00 PM on October 24^th and the full conference begins that evening at 6:00 PM. 

For Friday-only participants, conference sign-in will happen on October 25^th from 8:00 AM-1:00 PM.

The conference ends on Saturday October 26^th at 10:00 AM.

Please make sure to complete your online registration for the conference and make your hotel reservation at the Marriott or neighboring hotels. These are two separate processes. If you have a hotel room but are not registered for the conference, you will not be able to attend.

IF YOU DO NOT YET KNOW WHICH SUPPORT STAFF WILL BE COMING, (FOR EACH STAFF) PLEASE INDICATE "STAFF" AS FIRST NAME & NAME OF SELF-ADVOCATE (first & last) FOR LAST NAME.  For example, First Name: Staff, Last Name: Jane Doe. 

Please note: We must have all staff names no later than October 15th.

PAYMENT POLICY

The popularity of our State Conference has continued to grow, and we must ask that everyone register and pay before the conference so that we can efficiently accommodate the large number of attendees.

WE MUST RECEIVE YOUR REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT BY FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 27^th, FOR YOU TO BE REGISTERED FOR THE CONFERENCE.

NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THE CONFERENCE

If you register online and wish to pay by check or money order, you will be considered pre-registered but will not be registered until payment is received.

CANCELATION POLICY

If you need to cancel this registration, please e-mail Cynthia Gilchrist at [email protected] or call our office at (518) 382-1454. You will receive a cancelation confirmation number. 

You will receive a full refund if you cancel by October 1, 2024. If you cancel after October 1st but before or on October 10th, you will receive a 50% refund. For cancelations after October 10th, no refund will be given.
